UNOPS in Zimbabwe is helping build the foundations to support the country’s development agenda with a focus on sustainability and national capacity development.
In close collaboration with the government, UN organizations, non-governmental organizations and international financial institutions, UNOPS supports disaster recovery and implements infrastructure projects with a focus on resilience and building back better. UNOPS also works with governments to preserve cultural heritage.
Through a range of services – including infrastructure, procurement, financial and human resources management services – UNOPS helps to accelerate the delivery and quality of humanitarian and development projects across the country.

UNOPS Impact in Zimbabwe
Improving livelihoods and food security, as well as access to education, healthcare, and water and sanitation facilities through a range of interventions reaching 770,000 people affected by Cyclone Idai in nine worst-hit districts across three provinces.
Supporting the rehabilitation, conservation and sustainable development of the Great Zimbabwe UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest dry stone structure in sub-Saharan Africa.
