UNOPS infrastructure projects don’t just improve access to services, markets and clean water – they also help to build the systems that countries need to improve people’s health and livelihoods in the long term.

Ethiopia is one of the countries hardest hit by the strongest El Niño event in history. The natural hazards that followed have left more than 5 million people in need of life-saving emergency assistance.

Signed on 12 July, the new agreement will help streamline UNOPS ongoing operations in the country.

Multi-stakeholder initiatives: Is this a time for collective governance?​

This year's World Trade Organization Global Review theme is promoting trade, inclusiveness and connectivity for sustainable development. During this event, stakeholders will look at how Aid for Trade can contribute to the integration of developing countries and least developed countries into the multilateral trading system, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
