To address the gender gap in the maritime, ports, fishing and related industries, the World Maritime University is hosting an event focusing on the theme ‘Empowering women in the maritime community.’ UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo is delivering a keynote address at the event.

Japan is contributing $500,000 toward a UNOPS‐implemented project to rehabilitate four centres damaged by Tropical Cyclone Sagar last year.
