Global Goal supported:

SEforALL was launched by the UN to drive action towards achieving SDG7: access to sustainable energy for all by 2030. The organization works with the UN, governments, the private sector, financial institutions, civil society and philanthropies to support a clean energy transition that leaves no one behind.

We are proud to welcome Sustainable Energy For All to the UNOPS family. By working together, we will enhance operational capabilities and amplify our contributions towards fostering wider access to sustainable energy – ensuring communities have the power to thrive.

Under the new agreement, SEforALL will implement the strategy approved by its Governance Board but can leverage UNOPS resources and expertise to function effectively and achieve its goals. UNOPS-hosted entities operate in accordance with UN values, vision and principles and adhere to UNOPS policies and administrative procedures.

"In a world striving for a future free from poverty and climate crises, sustainable energy access is needed now more than ever. SEforALL is determined to ensure that all people have access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy," said Damilola Ogunbiyi, CEO and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All, and Co-Chair of UN-Energy.

“We are proud to partner with UNOPS as it has demonstrated its commitment to supporting efforts to provide access to energy for all, and to ensure a clean energy transition. Together, we can empower communities, drive economic growth and combat climate change,” she added.

SEforALL joins a range of other climate-related initiatives hosted or supported by UNOPS.
