Supporting healthcare delivery in Ethiopia
UNOPS procured vital equipment on behalf of the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Service (EPSS) that will help strengthen the distribution of healthcare supplies.
UNOPS officially handed over the procured items – including vehicles, generators, cold chain equipment and other related materials – which will help EPSS strengthen its distribution capacity of healthcare supplies to health facilities across the country.
"This handover represents our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our partners, and we take great pride in providing the support that enhances their operations," said Worknesh Mekonnen, Director of UNOPS Horn of Africa Multi-Country Office.
"The procured items will significantly impact the facilitation of EPSS' work – ensuring the delivery of medical supplies to health facilities and communities," said Dr. Abdulkedir Gelgelo, Director General of EPSS.
Equipped with modern safety measures and eco-friendly technology, the items will support EPSS with delivering services to health facilities more efficiently and reliably.
