With funding from the government of Peru, UNOPS will procure 184 urban and rural ambulances to strengthen pre-hospital care services in 15 regions across the country.

“This purchase is much more than a logistical investment, it is a tangible commitment to the lives of thousands of Peruvians who trust in a health system that prioritizes the most vulnerable, closing the historical gaps, and ensuring access to essential services in the most remote areas,” said the Minister of Health, César Vásquez, during a signing ceremony.

The $29.9 million project will strengthen pre-hospital and emergency healthcare services, ensuring that patients with critical needs can access medical services in good time.

UNOPS will work closely with the Ministry of Health to ensure efficient and effective public spending while meeting the highest transparency standard.
