The parties discussed prospects of enhancing assistance from the UN organizations in the restoration of vital infrastructure in Donbas and ensuring development of the areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Special attention was paid to urgent humanitarian needs of IDPs in Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko emphasized the importance of access to innovative sources of funding through interaction with institutional donors, charity organizations, international business associations for Ukraine to implement social, economic, environmental and humanitarian projects in Donbas. The parties discussed special projects on demining of territories, creation of new jobs and development of education opportunities for children, inter alia, modernization and restoration of educational facilities.
