The anniversary comes at a uniquely challenging time, as countries battle the worst global health crisis in a century and communities reel from its social and economic impacts.
As the UN turns 75, this is the time to seize opportunities – to work together towards a recovery that goes hand-in-hand with climate action and gender equality, and that puts us back on the path to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Our biggest challenges can only be resolved if we all work together. And so it has never been more critical to think about why the UN exists. To reimagine the future we want to see and to reaffirm our commitment to creating it.
