Enhancing emergency response in Ethiopia
UNOPS and the government of Ethiopia are working together to increase access to critical healthcare services.
With more than $1.7 million in funding from the World Bank, UNOPS will procure 16 advanced ambulances on behalf of Ethiopia's Ministry of Health. The ambulances will help support the government of Ethiopia to strengthen the country's health systems.
"The ambulances procured for this project will help enhance emergency response, save lives and improve healthcare accessibility in Ethiopia," said Worknesh Mekonnen, Director of UNOPS Horn of Africa Multi-Country Office.
The project is part of a wider World Bank-funded project focused on improving access to and the equitable provision of high-quality primary healthcare services, especially for women and children.
