As we mark World Tuberculosis (TB) Day 2025, let us remind ourselves that a commitment to end TB is a commitment to saving lives and securing a healthier and more prosperous future for all.

In most low- and middle-income countries, TB is the deadliest infectious disease.

It causes the deaths of nearly 1.5 million people each year, bringing untold suffering to families and communities.

The fight against TB is a fight to deliver sustainable development.

But substantial gains made in this fight are now coming under strain, in a difficult funding environment.

This year’s call to commit, invest and deliver comes at a crucial time.

For this fight against TB to succeed - we need international and national leadership, investment and decisive action.

UNOPS is proud to host the Stop TB Partnership, whose unwavering efforts to create a world free of TB is needed now more than ever.

On this World TB day, we renew our commitment to offering practical solutions to eliminate TB as a public health problem by 2030.
