During the Executive Board's annual session, Grete Faremo spoke on 2016 achievements and how UNOPS is preparing for the organization's next strategic plan.
"Within the 3,000 kilometres of roads, 50 schools, 74 hospitals and 278 health centres we worked on last year, you will find contributions to nearly every SDG," said Grete Faremo.
She continued: "We now look to innovate further. Artificial intelligence, blockchain – could these burgeoning technologies help in the world of international assistance? Could they bring ever greater efficiencies in pursuit of UN objectives?"
